Keeping her story alive

Jasmine Charles-Clarke: A light that inspires

Known to some as “Sunshine,” Jasmine brought warmth, humor, and joy to the people around her. Originally from Castries, St. Lucia, she made New Jersey her home and devoted herself to her family and her work as an educator.

Her 2020 BOLD Honorees feature shares her breast cancer journey, beginning in 2015, and the courage she showed when the cancer returned in 2017. She used her voice to raise awareness of metastatic breast cancer in her Caribbean community, helping others feel less alone and reminding them that there is hope.

Through our breast cancer awareness event, BB Events honors Jasmine’s strength, resilience, and generous spirit. We share her story so her light continues to inspire.
